The Nike Dunk Low The Nike Dunk Low “Jackie Robinsonââ‿is a special edition colorway that honors the life and legacy of the civil rights activist and Baseball Hall of Famer. From Nike’s July 2022 release cycle, the “Jackie Robinsonââ‿Dunk Low celebrates Jackie Robinson, who broke baseball’s color barrier in 1948. The colorway takes inspiration from Jackie’s time with the Brooklyn Dodgers, beginning with Racer Blue leather overlays on the toe cap, forefoot, eyelets, collar, heel, and Swoosh, all of which are inscribed with inspirational quotes by Jackie. The leather base appears in a cream-grey hue. Together, the two colors are inspired by the Brooklyn Dodgersââ‿old team uniform colors. Other overtures to Jackie’s time on the ballclub include his ââ‿2ââ‿jersey number on the heel. A commemorative ââ‿5th anniversaryââ‿patch appears on the tongue as a salute to Jackie’s arrival in Major League Baseball in ââ‿8.

The Nike Dunk Low The Nike Dunk Low “Plum 2020ââ‿is a design plucked from Nike’s archives and given a wide scale release in February 2020. Originally included as part of 2001’s “Ugly Ducklingââ‿pack, the “Plumââ‿colorway, along with many early-2000s Japan-only co.jp Dunks, featured eccentric color combinations that quickly became the talk of the sneaker world for their exclusivity and premium build. The modern release features the same upgraded materials and skinny tongue as the original model. Supple purple suede overlays along the upper are contrasted by a lavender base that takes on a slightly lighter hue. Vibrant plum Swooshes, laces, and heel tabs complete the look. Also known as the “Varsity Maizeââ‿and “Iowaââ‿Dunk Low, the “Goldenrodââ‿is a timeless, two-tone, black and yellow colorway of the vintage basketball shoe that also inspired the coveted, unreleased “Wu-Tangââ‿Dunk High from 1999. Here, the “Goldenrodââ‿features black leather on the perforated toe and on the mid-panel and collar. Contrasting Goldenrod-colored leather panels and Swoosh branding draw eyes to the shoe. On the heel, old school-inspired “Nikeââ‿detailing is embroidered in black lettering. A Goldenrod “Nikeââ‿logo is printed alongside a Swoosh insignia on the black nylon tongue tag on the black nylon tongue. A white midsole and yellow rubber outsole complete the look.
